Before you Begin

• Download and install the build for your system
• Set up a testing profile
• Start Firefox and install your favourite add-ons
• Connect to IRC and introduce yourself
• Pick an activity below and begin testing
• If you need help or have questions be sure to ask one of our Mentors for assistance

Feedback

• Use the Australis build as you would normally use Firefox (email, videos, social networking, add-ons, customization, etc)
• Report...
  • anything you like about Australis
  • anything you don't like about Australis, report it to Etherpad
  • general feedback about Australis

Testing

Before reporting a bug, try running another version of Firefox (ie. Aurora, Beta) with a new profile to confirm it's an Australis bug

• Report...
  • rendering issues within the Firefox UI
  • crashes, hangs, or slow animations
  • issues with specific websites
  • issues with specific add-ons
  • issues with specific plugins (ex. Java, Flash, etc)

Bug Confirmations

If you need help, including making a change to a bug report, please ask one of the Mentors for assistance

• Pick a bug to test from this list
• Try to reproduce the bug using the Australis build
• If you can reproduce the bug:
  • Add a comment describing the testing you performed
  • Set the status to NEW
  • Add [testday-20131114] to the whiteboard field
• If you cannot reproduce the bug:
  • Add a comment describing the testing you performed
  • Ask the reporter to test the latest Australis build to see if they can reproduce it
