What is the Science Lab Community Call?

Second Thursday of every other month, 11am ET

The Science Lab Community call takes place the second Thursday of every other month, highlighting what we're up to as well as work of the community relevant to science and the web. Join us to hear more about current projects, ways you can get involved, and discuss issues around open science. The calls are made stronger by your participation, and all are welcome.

Science Lab Study Group Calls

First Friday of each month, 11am ET

The Science Lab Study Group Learning call is an opportunity to meet with other Study Group program leads around the world, share strategies, sessions, and lessons, and coordinate resources and curriculum around a theme. It takes place the first Friday of every month, themes and emcees rotate and the agenda is community driven. Dial in to learn more about teaching open science and open source technology.

Science Lab Project Calls

Fourth Thursday of each month, 12pm ET

Featuring the open source projects for science in our Collaborate platform, this call is a forum where we:

  • highlight new or outstanding contributors,
  • learn and discuss best practices in open source and
  • share updates and invite new contributors to our Collaborate projects.

Everyone is welcome to join in! Designers, developers, researchers, publishers — pretty much anyone interested in participating and learning how to get involved in an open science project. We could use all sorts of input (beyond just code), so if you’re new to open source, come join us! We’d love to have you involved.
