About Us
The University of Ibadan Firefox Club was registered on the wiki on 25th of September, 2015 with the vision of promoting the culture of collaboration and co-creation using open source tools centered around Mozilla's products including Firefox Browser,Firefox OS, WebMaker,Thunderbird etc. It also promotes Mozilla's mission- openness, innovation and opportunity on the web. The first Firefox Student Ambassadors in the University of Ibadan are: Okanu Chima Ogonna, Omotosho Kayode, Osinubi Damola, Afowowe Fikayo, Osondu Ottah, Ojini Chibuzor, Ugwueze Vincent, Emmanuel and Nwaezuoke Chisom. All were actively involved in the successful launching of the club in the university on the 7th of November, 2015 at UI Hotels Conference Centre. Its first mentors are Dr. Seyi Osunade, the Director of ITEMS, University of Ibadan, Dr. Lade, a female lecturer of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Ibadan and Mr. Olufajo, a lecturer of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Ibadan. Okanu Chima Ogonna became the first Club Lead of University of Ibadan Firefox Club.

Mozilla with kids is a community-based event organised by the University of Ibadan
Firefox Club to enable young children learn about Mozilla and its products at an
early stage. This event will be backed up by follow-up, which will involve skills
acquisition and personal development.
