Some great news for Thunderbird because a patch has landed.
For a very long time there has been an open Bug to bring to Tb the same message header feature NC4.xx had of message ID's being clickable links. The patch passed super review by David.
[Bug 62033] Should display |References| links in message display window https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62033
So here are the implications of this patch. We now have Message ID headers in news that are clickable links. There will be a pref to toggle for mail. That creates the potential to use news links in mail, news, and possibly IM that a recipient or reader can click and retrieve the posting. Another potential is Lightning being able to embed them into any of it's views such as, ToDo or Today.
This brings the Tb w/Lightning and Same Places a lot closer to where MS Outlook
is for the enterprise market.

The landing has revealed some context menu items in mail had the wrong behavior of linking to Google Groups.

Another dependency has popped up. The patch has caused some Header field names to show 'unknown' with normal vaues.
