  • Ehsan's suggestion about widgets for TV product:
    • Not solving this problem for the first release (not a technical solution!)
    • In-process nested iframes
      • Gene will follow up with this solution, supposing
        • Memory is enough
        • It doesn't matter apps are in or out of process from the point of view of user experiences
        • Third-party Homescreen Apps don't really need to do complex window management like System App
        • We cannot work out a perfect solution due to the timeline but this solution still looks reasonable
    • Doing a throw-away widget positioning API hidden behind a permission only granted to third-party homescreens for Stingray
    • Exposing the IAC API temporarily hidden behind a permission only granted to third-party homescreens for Stingray
