Mozilla: The Web is the Console

  • Mozilla Game On is a competition from Mozilla, the global non-profit community and makers of Firefox.
  • Game On reflects Mozilla's commitment to investing in bleeding edge gaming technologies and use games to teach digital literacy and webmaking.
  • We are calling all developers, designers, youth and educators to build the next generation of web based games.

Build the Next Generation of Web Based Games.

  • Re-imagine the Web as the console;
  • Use the power of the web to revolutionize the way we make and play games.
  • Invent new game mechanics, create new story lines, engage diverse audiences and introduce aesthetically challenging content.
  • Make games that can be played on your desktop, on your phone, on your tablet with tools like the new Firefox OS.
  • Design play that like the web itself is hackable by design. Games that let you pull assets and data from across the web into your game world. Games that let you remix, fork and share to your heart’s content.
  • Engage your players to learn as they make, remix and play.
