Overview
Where we are now
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/careers
https://college.mozilla.com
http://linoderedis.server.serverboy.net/wp/
What we want to improve
- need to serve 4 channels: career, volunteer, foundation and college
- Better integration with Jobvite feeds so user can stay on Mozilla.org site longer.
- college is a seperate site, in wordpress, but we’ll want to tie in to it
- want the visitor to be able to slice by location, experience and level
- improvements to the application process. e.g. can we add fields that will enable us to screen applicants earlier?
- Want to add team videos. Can shoot them over time and add as ready.
- On the careers landing page, we should consider featuring / linking to the following:
- MozSpaces and Offices (Map?)
- Featured WFH setups
- YouTube Channel with employees & what they do
- Salary info (e.g that we offer competitive pay)
Work So Far
- Prototype: [1]
(NB: you need to be connected to MPT vpn to see this)
Next Steps
We need to determine as a group what the next steps are.
Notes
- Another improvement - Create a map of the organization. How the different teams are connected.
- How will we host volunter, foundation positions? Might put them in JobVite.
- Careers on Mozilla.com really needs to be a portal.
- Will use the new Mozilla.org look and feel.
- Technical implementation can be simple (e.g. static pages with json for simple sorting)
