Firefox 36.0b1 build1

Preflight

Doing a 35.0build3 --> 36.0b1 partial this time (previously we just had people deal with a complete). Needed to modify the patcher config before starting.

Checklist

Issues

  • source bundles too big too sign. They've just grown as more changes landed, bug 1120844 to increase the limit on the signing server
  • macosx64 partner repack has failed with this error (Job re-triggered):
Firefox.app/Contents/Resources/browser/components/libbrowsercomps.dylib: (Empty error message)
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.

Checklist

Issues

  • check_permissions raised a warning: "/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/36.0b1/" directory already exists on stage.mozilla.org
  • push_to_mirror has failed - "/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/36.0b1/" exists
  • both from forgetting to remove build1 from firefox/releases/
    • deleted firefox/releases/36.0b1 on stage
    • filed bug 1121872 for WebOps to purge CDNs
    • forced check_permissions and firefox_push_to_mirrors builders
    • replied to 'Updates available on beta-cdntest' notification email with info that updates may fail until bug 1121872 complete
    • added checklist item for beta build >=2, and improved docs
    • edgecast took a VERY long time to purge
      • todo: can we even be confident that it's purged everywhere when we only verify from scl3? users from othe rplaces in the world could still be getting the wrong files
