Don't resize when closing tabs Landed on Nightly, landed on Aurora, should be in Firefox 5 N/A Alex Limi

Summary

When closing multiple tabs, we shouldn't resize the tabs before the pointer leaves the tab bar

Team

Who's working on this?

  • Feature Manager: Alex Limi
  • Lead Developer: Frank Yan
  • QA:
  • UX: Alex Limi

Release Requirements

  • Ability to close many tabs without moving the mouse pointer, regardless of how wide the tabs would end up being.
  • Tab overflow should work.

Next Steps

  • Consider resize on leaving tab bar, not the entire toolbar.

Open Issues

  • Using the entire toolbar as the area for determining when to resize makes the feature seem a bit unpredictable and/or broken.
