Overview

Activating and leveraging our overall community – from users to volunteer leaders – is critical for amplifying our efforts and creating user demand for Firefox OS. Dedicated working time (for the Engagement Team and our partners) with core Mozillians from countries where the phone will be released in 2013 is crucial to ensure our efforts and resources are optimized for launch.

The Firefox OS Camps are necessary to achieve our overall engagement go-to-market plan by providing regional launch teams and partners with the essential tools, training, and co-working opportunities needed to actualize our marketing goals by country.

Participants

• Staff: Select members of the Mozilla Engagement Team
• Mozillians: Regional Launch Teams (Team Captains, Communication Rep, Trainer(s), Marketing Lead, Mobilizer Lead and Developer Lead) for our first 9 priority markets
• Partners: Mobile, OEM, and PR partner representatives from launch markets

Aside from Engagement staff, all invited attendees will either be a partner, originate from one of our top 9 launch markets or will be a Mozilla Rep considered vital to our efforts. Prior to being extended an invitation, Mozillians have been identified as filling one of the roles as outlined above. Mozillians will be invited to the Firefox OS Camp in their respective region.
