For Mentors

We have rigorous expectations at Mozilla, and specifically in releng, of how mentors will interact with interns. It's essentially a mini-management role:

  • ensure the intern completes the Day 1 checklist and has access to all the resources they need
  • meet daily to start, evolving into weekly 1x1s, or whatever cadence makes sense
  • be the first in line to answer questions
  • help them navigate bugzilla
  • review patches, and teach the Mozilla code review process
  • land code for your intern when necessary
  • provide project management assistance when necessary (depends on the project)

Projects for Interns

We have a list of potential projects in the releng etherpad. Please add yours there.
