There are two specific enhancements I'd love to see included when Thunderbird 2.0 is launched.
Like many others, the one reason I'm unable to use Thunderbird as my primary email application is because it doesn't interact with the Mac address book. Please make this a top priority in the new edition.
Secondly, it'd be great if it were possible to lock/password-protect email folders in Thunderbird. My email is set up as IMAP, and I'd like to be able to leave Thunderbird open if I step away from my desk, but keep specific folders private.
Thanks! Looking forward to 2.0!
Revision as of 15:30, 24 December 2006
I'd like to see dataloss and corruption bugs addressed at a high priority.
Optional GMail and iTunes layout sounds very interesting to me. There is a screenshot as well.
How about a new theme to match that of Firefox 2.0
Conversation scoring
Having a nice UI for scoring messages and conversations would be nice.
For instance, I'd like to be able to say "messages in this folder that match these filtering rules give a +5 bonus to the conversation they are in". Or "conversations I've participated in get a +10 bonus", etc.
Add ability to read from Mac OS X system Address Book
I would love to see this feature! It's THE reason why many Mac user don't move to TB. As I can see in the last nightly build, it's not include in the TB 2.0 feature...
