This page describes the various elements of the home page and newsfeed.

Getting Started

Immediately after adding the application, the user should be taken to the homepage, where a yellow Getting Started box should be displayed. The heading of the newsfeed should say "Welcome, [name]" instead of the normal "Welcome back, [name]"

Sidebar

Import Add-ons

This section should always show up and links to the import tool.

Other Information

This section should always show up and links to other pages that don't fit anywhere else, such as:

  • FAQ
  • Desktop Wallpaper
  • Update Notes

There is also a share button below to share the application.

Unsupported Browser

If you are using an unsupported browser, there will be an additional section informing you of that.

Something New?

If it's been 14 days or more since you last added a favorite add-on, you will get a section telling you how many new add-ons have been added since then.

Newsfeed

Stories

New Version Stories

Up to 2 can be displayed, and will always be displayed if available.

Stories are available if a new version of a favorite add-on has been released in the last 7 days.

Friend Recommendations

Up to 1 can be displayed, and will always be displayed if available.

Stories are available if the user has friends that have added favorites. Up to 5 stories will be pulled, but only one will be randomly selected for inclusion.

Friend Favorite Updates

Up to 5 can be displayed, and the number displayed will try to fill up a total of 10 newsfeed stories, but still can't exceed 5.

Stories are available if the user has friends using the application that have added favorites in the last 7 days.

No Stories

If a user has no stories, they should be presented with an explanation of why.
