MozWeekend is an incentive to bring back the community vibe that we had when there was just 600 of us. This is a monstrous task, which was partially successful in attempts such as summit. Sadly, having 600 people to meet over 3 days was quite difficult.

To start with, MozWeekend is focusing on regional communities, so we can get to know those around us better first

Expected Outcome

We want MozWeekend to bring Mozillians together with the others around them. This includes paid/unpaid contributors, contractors and those around the FOSS community who support Mozilla.

How?

We plan to operate about 50 MozWeekends each year. The idea is simple and gives flexibility to the people organizing the events. Our expectations are for ReMo to help provide financial support to bring about 50-100 contributors from your country together for 3 days.

What is included?

Lots of social! We expect the MozWeekends to help mozillians get to know each other beyond the IRC Nick/Twitter Handle.
