Releases/Update Channels

The page contains descriptions of all of the release channels that Balrog (aus4.mozilla.org) serves. Note that at this time, Releases and ESRs are still served by aus3.mozilla.org.

Release type	Channel name	Purpose	When they're available
Beta	beta-cdntest	This channel contains updates that are exactly the same as those on the "beta" channel and is used to verify that updates will be successful prior to pushing them out to real users.	These updates are made available automatically by the release automation. A "ready for beta-cdntest testing" mail will be sent out when the updates are ready.
Beta	beta	This is the live update channel for Beta builds. Users who have installed a Beta will receive updates on it.	After a beta has been built and tested these updates will be made available. They are NOT pushed automatically.
