Agenda

  • Review the Action Items & Bugs

Action items from last time

  • Mossop and robcee are reviewing marionette code
  • cjones wants to review b2g specific parts of marionette before they land in aurora, but won't have time till after the MWC.
  • We'll need to add the 'addon-compat' keyword to bug 712643 when we are ready to land in aurora. We'll need to get AMO to check that no one loads marionette components.

Review current activities

Marionette / CI status

  • Support bugs will be filed against Marionette to get synchronous waitFor in the style of Selenium, and getting a 'requires' function like in node.js to load scripts into marionette tests.
  • Need to discuss with gaia team for improving our test process. There have been discrepancies between their b2g desktop tests and tests running against the emulator. A try server may help find these problems before committing code, but other options should be explored. Will attend Gaia meeting on Tuesday to discuss.
  • Gecko/Marionette repos have been out of sync in the B2G repository, causing test failures. Mn tests will be investigated this week to make them go green.

Actions for next time

  • Webapps team to use marionette for future tests, will need to sync up once marionette lands in m-c
  • Need a way to inspect the DOM through marionette
  • We'll need to add the 'addon-compat' keyword to bug 712643 when we are ready to land in aurora. We'll need to get AMO to check that no one loads marionette components.
