Local Content Identification

The project aspirers’ to identify differences and similarities in how people use content (apps, media or games) on their mobiles phones to make Firefox OS better in your location!

The community team will help research the information needed to ensure a ‘local focused” experience for Firefox OS, by helping to input and drive some of the local content research prior to launch, enabling our business development teams to get the right content, your country needs.

All team members will earn badges, receive recognition and reward for this participation. All team members will receive training on how to do these activities as well as a great deal of support from the Mozilla Insights and Strategy team.

Why are we doing this?

As Firefox OS is expanding to several new markets, Mozilla increasingly needs to understand more about how people use their phone and what content they use, such as apps, media and games.

This is a pilot project - so by joining you are also part of giving valuable learnings to Mozilla and helping it grow!

Positions

Interviewer

The person will take a key lead on gathering information for Mozilla, by conducting interviews with potential users and other stakeholders.

  • Recruit people for interviews and ensure legal work is signed and agreed
  • Set up interviews
  • Conduct interviews
  • Feedback to Mozilla Insights & Strategy team

For each local we will need between 10-15 interviewers.

Interviewers will gain valuable skills such as interviewing for research and gaining insight into how companies gather information about their users to guide their product development. If this sounds like something you could be interested in, then Get Involved.

NB: The interviewer will have to be under NDA and any people who are interviewed will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Survey Supporter

Will work closely with the community to help spread the word of our surveys.

  • Engage people to take our survey through social media, friends and connections
  • Help ensuring that our survey is taken by a range of people representing the country as well as possible.
