Reps Indonesia Meetup Feb2015
Overview
Mozilla Reps based in Indonesia will meet in Jakarta from Friday 13 February to Sunday 15 February 2015 to discuss the state of the Mozilla Reps program and overall community health in Indonesia. The meeting will be comprised of presentations, breakout sessions and discussions that will lead up to the drafting of a general 6 month roadmap of activities that all tie back to Mozilla's top organizational goals.
Background
The development of our local and regional communities are key elements in a successful participation strategy. Mozilla is re-dedicating staff to community health and growth at the local and regional level -- especially in key regions like Africa, SE Asia, S. Asia and Latin America where we are aiming for product growth. Specifically, we are doubling down on our efforts to connect more systematically and strategically the activities of our regional communities to our key product initiatives in ways that are more rewarding for both volunteers and employees.
Format
The meeting will have a slightly different format as last year's Camp:
- The first day will focus on getting all Council members together to do a high-level review of the program's Q3 goals and do final prep-work for the Camp sessions the following two days.
- The second day, when the wider mentor group joins, will focus on encouraging debate and discussion around the program's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) and how to support the organizational goals, more specifically, enabling communities that have an impact. It will also be an opportunity for everyone to break out into working groups to craft concrete action plans around priorities identified during SWOT analysis.
- The first half of the third day will focus on drafting a general "ReMo Roadmap" for 2014/2015 and presenting task force action plans to all participants (including remote attendees). The second half will cover discussions and project plans around mentorship and scaling the program without losing our focus.
