Thunderbird addon author wanting to improve https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Add-ons_Guide_57.

For example, since TB57, TB no longer picks up addon code changes unless install.rdf is changed. This is not well known, there are minimum 2 bugzilla bugs for that. If people knew, they wouldn't file bugs.

There should be a note on the wiki page given above.
