Wikimo vs. MDC

MDC
Is it related to development?
Can it be abstracted from Mozilla project?
Examples:
  • Tech docs
  • Implementation howtos
  • Development
  • Code snippets
  • l10n/l12y howtos
wiki.mozilla.org
Is it related to project management?
Is it specific to Mozilla project?
Examples:
  • Guidelines
  • Policies
  • Status updates
  • Meeting minutes
  • Shared workspace
  • Process desciption
  • Requirements
  • Schedules
  • Todos
  • Planning
  • Goals

Naming guidelines

  1. If not ambiguous, simplify.
    Examples:
    • L10n:Namoroka, not L10n:Product/Firefox/Namoroka,
    • L10n:Firefox/Productization and L10n:Mobile/Productization, because L10n:Productization is not specific enough.
  1. Always use the L10n: namespace
  1. For hierarchies, use /, not :. It will created breadcrumbs automatically.
