Discussion: (Re)distributing Firefox and Thunderbird

  • Speaker: Mike Hommey
  • Summary: While Mozilla provides Firefox and Thunderbird builds for systems it supports, there are various cases where people/entities redistribute them separately. The most common example is Linux distributions packaging these products so that they can be downloaded and used like any other software in the distribution. Lots of efforts are however most likely duplicated. This discussion aims at sharing our experience redistributing Firefox and Thunderbird, and at discussing how we could share part of the workload (patches, support for older versions, etc.)
