Firefox 2.0.0.1 Planning

• will be a co-release with Firefox 1.5.0.9
• triage underway, here are some relevant queries:
  • 1.5.0.9 blocking nominations
  • 1.5.0.9 blocking bugs
  • 1.5.0.9 branch patch needed
  • 2.0.0.1 blocking nominations
  • 2.0.0.1 blocking bugs
• schedule?
• driving team?

Advertising 2.0.0.0 Upgrade to 1.5.0.8+ users

• from last week...
  • schrep: earliest advertising opportunity wouldn't be until after Nov 7, but it's hard to answer this question without understanding what the update to 2.0.0.1 would be. Need to answer the question of "is 2.0.0.1 that much different from 2"?
• can we call it "Firefox 2 Decmber 2006 Update" or "Firefox 2, Update 1"
• vista support: are all patches on the trunk ready to be applied to the branch?

Future of these meetings

• suggestion is that starting next week this be a weekly Mozilla 1.8.1 Branch Planning meeting with responsibility towards:
  • 1.8.1.x release planning
  • Firefox 2.x release planning
  • Branch management policy issues
