Telemetry Data Storage - Jan 24, 2013

Attendees: Anurag Phadke, Vladan Djeric, Taras Glek, Lawrence Mandel

Anurag: Metrics would like to keep 3 months of Telemetry data active and archive the rest. We will keep 100% of data. The archive will be stored on nfs and the perf team will have access to the nfs backup. Is that a reasonable amount of data for Telemetry? Lawrence: We can also look at data thinning. Taras: We want data from the last ESR. Vladad: Suggesting 7 cycles (ESR) or roughly 10.5 months. Anurag: That will work for metrics.

Taras: Can we restore data to a secondary cluster? Anurag: I will get back about timeline for bringing up the second cluster where you can restore data and run arbitrary queries.
