The Webmaker product team works in quarterly goals and weekly sprints. Product features are currently scoped on an eight week horizon.
Q3 Goals
- Improve performance on webmaker.org
- Insitute an editorial process
- Complete English localization of webmaker.org, Thimble and Popcorn Maker
- Convert X-Ray Goggles to node.js, convert publishing to MakeAPI
- Allow 3rd party apps to publish to MakeAPI
- Create a mobile app for sharing pictures to MakeAPI
- Allow users to "like" content, display this metadata
- Create a style guide for Webmaker.org
- Allow webmaker.org users to sync media from 3rd party services
- Improve the "make details" experience, have page generated dynamically
- Improve user support by building a product on support.mozilla.org
- Improve UX on Popcorn Maker (Operation Pop Better)
- Flow users to enter needed metadata
- Allow user generated <sript> in Thimble
- User testing and data analysis
- Improve team process,internal/external communication
