Summary

Search Provider Top Suggestions
Start typing in the url bar provides results from the search engine domain that are the highest in the list, this makes the auto-completes directly to the search engine faster.

Acceptance Criteria (AC):

  • When a user types the search engine domain in the URL bar the search engine auto-complete becomes the top suggestion
  • This search engine auto-complete simply completes the domain of the search engine and doesn't perform a search

Notes/Supporting Documentation: The best visual cue for a search engine domain and auto-complete a user to that space faster than typing directly.

Search field to the new tab page
A search field is added on the top of the new tab page to make users search experience more fluid. Same as the search field from the awesome bar, the search engines can be modified, removed or managed.
