Schedule Update

  • Desktop FF19.0 and ESR17.0.3 both released already
  • Mobile FF19.0 should be signed off soon (if it hasn't already), and we'll push immediately thereafter
  • Merge happening today, as scheduled
  • FF20.0b1 is planned to go to build today before EOD
  • FF20.0b1 (relman poc: lsblakk) & FF21.0a2 (relman poc: bbajaj) will be released Friday

  • [akeybl] 843373 – Please Enable CTP for all released versions of Java
  • 807258 - The last Flash 10.3 versions ( (August 2012) and above) are not CTP-blocked.

  • could not be detected in 19.0b6 or in early 19.0 data or manual tests, let's hope for the best. Data on if the blocklisting helped b5 is inconclusive.
  • Crash rates for 19.0b6 still look somewhat elevated, but it can't be associated with something specific, might be no concern, need to see release data to be sure.

  • Data on rates looks good at the moment.

  • [juanb] Bug 839239 - pdf.js hotfix needs attention

  • [juanb] To add radeon gfx testing on release test plans

Verification Needed

Tracking for Fx21:

  • Bug 841239 - stops playing music due to jplayer error frequently, using nightly
  • Bug 836044 - Aurora stub installer doesn't seem to be working

We are seeing more of the same feedback as we saw on Tues. A few new issues. We are in the process of creating comparisons between pdf.js and changes to new tab page to gauge overall acceptance.

New Bugs: Links with javascript generate errors (843741) Tax statements from Capital One fail (843755)

More confusion around download/save:

  • pdf-documents i Firefox 19 - How can these be "saved as" pdf on the own computer? Can not find any button or meny for that.
  • I can't download pdf documents since updating to FF 19. I've had to use Safari or Chrome. Disappointing since FF is my default browser.

Don't know how to disable or use alternate viewer:

  • It takes much longer to load a given page in the viewer than it was when using Adobe Reader. Is there a way to revert to using Adobe Reader again?

Printing Issues: One of the biggest complaints we've seen is the inclusion of the URL

Requests: Search, Open in.., Settings button

Seeing feedbck that users can't clear recent downlods, Not fixed by reset.

Metrics (Thu)

  • juanb to add manual tests on radeon to the release test plan
  • akeybl to file for metrics study around SUMO hits vs 3.6/up ADI
  • rail to follow up with RelEng about 834891
