Schedule Update

  • 37.0.1
    • Hotfix will ship to fix video playback bugs with update to gfx blocklist (bug 1152630)
  • 37.0.2 mobile
    • We will likely ship another mobile point release to fix the request desktop site feature as this has very negatively impacted star rating in Japan (+ a number of uninstall)
  • 38 beta 3 gtb soon
    • we will do a beta 3 mobile for some reading list and other features
  • We have a plan for 38.1 branch
    • See r-d "Proposed plan for 38.1 in term of branches and builds"

Add-ons

  • No updates.

Stability

Aurora / Dev Edition

  • Overall rate: 4.5, rapidly going down but still high - plugin crashes/hangs also still high
  • The fix from bug 1149358 is probably helping a lot
    • Need to be vigilant about plugin-related issues, as async plugin init is new in 39 (make sure to ni?aklotz on all related bugs)
    • not tested well by nightly population
      • Maybe postpone this change to 40? (or before 39 beta)

Beta

  • Overall rate: 1.9
  • gfx bug 1124249 has been successfully solved by bug 1149954 landing.
  • AMD crasher nsStyleContext::DoGetStylePosition is 4% in 38.0b2 data
    • Not much we can do, it is going to go away in b3
  • OOM|large bug 1144649 is almost 9% of all 38.0b2 crashes
  • Security bug 1141081/bug 1128064 is 2.8%, should be fixed for b3
  • Probably-TDRs (bug 1116812) are still 2.8%
  • shutdown hang bug 1138520 is 2.7%, we had disabled the cause for that in 37
  • bug 1141089 has 1.4%
  • bug 1102612 is ~1% and fixed for b3

Release

Mobile

  • release actually seems to have improved in rate slightly, probably due to the NSFW fix
  • other channels have decent crash rates
