General Discussion
- (vlad): Tree instability this week -- sheriffs have done a good job during the day, but a lot of stuff is going in late during the day that's causing massive instability (especially when people aren't available on irc). Do we want to implement a stricter checkin process?
- Stricter enforcement of requirement that you must be available on irc if you check anything in?
Blockers and Noms
Blockers report:
GFX Update
- vlad's (still) all about the border regressions
- vlad: also going through small-patch blockers to finish them up and get them off the list
- roc: new textframe is looking pretty good, still waiting for nightly builds
- roc: working on performance tests, tackling general high-risk blocker bugs
- view hierarchy unification
- Issues/Concerns
Layout Update
- Progress made last week (Blockers resolved last week)
- What we're working on this week (Blockers this week).
- Issues/Concerns
Content Update
- Landed the cycle collector patch bug 378987, we're now down to CC adding around 100% to GC.
- Worked on bug 348156 (patch finished but not tested)
Mac OS X Update
- Steady progress with blockers again, though more getting added to the list. 31 blockers remaining, 6 fixed in the past week.
- Native form controls very close, only need to resolve reftest failures. Already tried to turn them on once, had to back out.
- Steven Michaud is working on popup window issues.
- Hoping to drop support for Mac OS X 10.3.
Build Tools Update
- Is no news good news?
- Mac enabled for sure in this Alpha
- Will try to have a 50/50 deployment (breakpad vs talkback) for this alpha, if not, then we turn it on all the way (possibly).
- Moz2 repository has a client.py script to aggregate repositories, all should be working now
- Basic Linux Breakpad support landed, but not building. Needs some upstream patches to work properly + a crashreporter client.
