Subject: [ANNOUNCEMENT] BMO Bugzilla 4.2 Upgrade Testing [UPDATE]

Greetings,

The Mozilla Bugzilla team is announcing that unfortunately the rollout of Bugzilla 4.2 has been postponed and will not occur on July 23rd as previously planned. Instead the aim is to release in September and further announcements will come when an exact date has been chosen.

Due to some great feedback recieved during the initial testing of 4.2, some issues were found that will take some additional time to investigate and implement appropriate fixes before rolling out the new version to production. Your feedback is very valuable and continues to help in delivering a solid release.

One of the issues was related to advanced search functionality changes in 4.2. Further details will be forthcoming, and there will be time to test the new search functionality before it is rolled out

For more detailed project information as well as the full schedule, see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/BMO/42Upgrade

Please continue to test drive at: https://bugzilla.allizom.org

For all those who have tools such as dashboards, scripts, etc. that use the BzAPI at https://api-dev.bugzilla.mozilla.org/latest/ to access, edit, and create BMO bugs, please still take some time to test your tools against the BMO 4.2 BzAPI instance:

https://api-dev.bugzilla.mozilla.org/allizom/

The above is accessing https://bugzilla.allizom.org and will use the same test data which is a snapshot of production. Email is disabled for general delivery so feel free to also use the test BzAPI to make bug changes and other write operations.

Please file any bug reports in the production Bugzilla system at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=bugzilla.mozilla.org&version=Development%2FStaging

Thanks, The Mozilla Bugzilla Team https://wiki.mozilla.org/BMO
