[18:30] <mschroeder> Hi Andreas [18:30] <Andreas> Hi Martin [18:31] <Andreas> What are the agenda topics today? [18:33] <mschroeder> Next weeks testday. [18:33] <Andreas> good point :-) [18:34] <mschroeder> I know. ;) [18:35] <Andreas> I hope I can spend some time to write new test cases. [18:36] <Andreas> Testcases for the 'new' context menus and the'switch calendar off' feature - for example. [18:37] <mschroeder> I don't think we have many new features to test explicitly [18:38] <mschroeder> Who will write the announcement? [18:39] <Andreas> That is true. I think regression testing is a big point. [18:39] <mschroeder> I can't promise anything. [18:40] <Andreas> May be I can do it. [18:41] * thetux has joined #calendar-qa [18:41] <thetux> hi [18:42] <mschroeder> Hi Lars [18:42] <Andreas> hi thetux [18:42] <mschroeder> Andreas: You can send it to me, and I'll push it to the blog. [18:43] <thetux> I like the style how he new blog entries are written. Really very nice :-) [18:44] <Andreas> mschroeder: Okay, thats fine. [18:44] <Andreas> I will try to write the blog text tomorrow. [18:45] <mschroeder> thetux: everybody is invited to write... so you can do a blog post about using Tb+Lightning in a company with hundreds of computers ;) [18:47] <mschroeder> Andreas: great [18:48] <Fallen> I have a blog post too, I just sent it to sipaq recently :-) [18:48] <thetux> mschroeder: will think about it, sounds funny :) [18:49] * mschroeder has two started but none finished. :( [18:49] <thetux> mschroeder: what are the topics? [18:54] <Andreas> Thetux: The next testdays [18:54] <mschroeder> thetux: all are qa centric: a request for email feedback to determine 'hotspots' in our products, general qa planning, and using an iCalendar fuzzing script for testing iCalendar parser automatically [18:57] <mschroeder> anything else we should or want discuss? [18:58] <MechtiIde> I need help to configure Thunderbird/Lightning so that I can use the calendar(s) with different user and from different maschines [18:59] <MechtiIde> How can I do it? [19:00] <mschroeder> MechtiIde: You want to use some kind of calendar server. [19:00] <MechtiIde> yes [19:00] <mschroeder> So, do you already have one? [19:01] <MechtiIde> I want to know which you suggest [19:01] <MechtiIde> for using with lightning [19:01] <mschroeder> I don't use Lightning in such an environment. [19:01] <MechtiIde> because I heard webdav has problems with filelocking [19:01] <mschroeder> thetux^^ [19:02] <MechtiIde> I want to know which the devlopers of lightning suggest [19:02] <thetux> we use webdav, 99% of the time it works. If you are unlucky and be part of the 1%, you better have a backup of the files ;) [19:03] <mschroeder> I would suggest a server supporting CalDAV. [19:04] <MechtiIde> thetux, also filelocking? [19:04] <MechtiIde> mschroeder, which server support CalDav and do you have a link to a HowTo to configure it [19:05] <thetux> yeah, CalDAV should be better. Our choice for webdav had historic reasons, since we already had webdav in use. [19:07] <mschroeder> MechtiIde: Zimbra 5, Kerio Mailserver, Apple's Darwin Calendar Server, Oracle Calendar, Scalix, Bedework, Cosmo, DAViCal [19:07] <mschroeder> I only tested some of them, I'm no real user, so I also don't know how to configure them. [19:08] <mschroeder> MechtiIde: In Lightning you can selecet CalDAV when subscribing to a calendar. [19:08] <MechtiIde> How can I do it? [19:08] <MechtiIde> in the start-dialog? [19:09] <thetux> Zimbra is a pain... I wouldn't choose it [19:10] <mschroeder> MechtiIde: New > Calendar > On the network > CalDAV [19:10] <MechtiIde> ok [19:11] <mschroeder> btw That's the end of the QA chat. Have a nice day/evening. :) [19:12] <Andreas> mschroeder: okay, bye!
