User Scenarios

The table below lists different types of calendar entries, and illustrates what kind of high-level functionality is useful for different types of calendar entries.

For example, even though the technology might not be availably today, shared calendars and free/busy search would be useful to plan a vacation together with different friends.

The advent of public calendars (e.g. Google) as well as a growing number of free calendar server products (both open source and commercial) will probably make "enterprise-like" features possible in private-use/at-home scenarios.
