Discussion: The future of Gecko and JS embedding

  • Speaker: Mike Hommey
  • Summary: The Mozilla ecosystem is(used to be much) broader than Firefox and Thunderbird. However, most of the development nowadays, more than ever, is oriented on these two products. The embedding APIs are more or less gone for Gecko, and the JS engine is a fast moving target and doesn't have a stable API. People interested in Gecko and/or JS embedding are invited to come by to discuss what they want, what they need, and what can be done.
