- Questions we'd like to answer:
- What are people looking for on the MDN?
- Are people finding what they're looking for? Is the content useful?
- How long does it take them?
- How many people are visiting the MDN every day? How much content are they looking at?
- How are people getting involved (i.e. is there a path through the site that results in contributions)?
- How many people are actively involved?
- How did people find the MDN? (from email, twitter, organic search, etc)
- What geos are people coming from?
- What browser are people visiting MDN sites with?
- Metrics for devmo (currently on Urchin 5)
- Page views
- Unique visitors
- Bounce rates
- Active daily commenters (comments will be enabled on the site this quarter)
- Daily number of modified articles
- Daily number of comments per article
- Search: what do people search for, can we determine if they find what they're looking for (similar to what's done on SUMO)
- Paths through the site: entry/exit points, are people going in circles?
- Time spent on page
- Campaign tracking (to track referrers, as we start promoting the site more and linking to it from different places)
- Track conversion of a visitor from visitor->commenter->documentation contributor->Mozilla contributor
- Visitor's browser
- Visitor's geo
- Metrics for Hacks.mozilla.org(currently on urchin 6)
- Page views
- Unique visitors
- Bounce rates
- Number of comments per article
- Paths
- Campaign tracking (to track referrers, as we start promoting the site more and linking to it from different places)
