AURORA 5.0 RELEASE

Phase 1 - APRIL 12th

  • We need a name
    • this has been settled and the new channel is going to be called Aurora. [COMPLETE]
  • We need logos.
    • Sean is aware of this to my knowledge and hopefully we'll get a pretty good draft for Monday's All Hands. bug 646889 [Small tweaks coming from UX team]
  • We need word marks.
  • We need to design page that we can use to point people to sign up for more information on these channels. [COMPLETE]
  • We need to build channel download page that will live in mozilla.com/firefox/channel/
  • We need copy for that page describing what the channels are.
  • We need a new list for Aurora newsletter.
  • We need to implement the new Aurora newsletter signup
  • We need to understand if we're using product details on the channel download page.
  • PR needs to review Sayre and Legnitto's posts
  • PR needs to write/review post for nex week


Phase 1.5 - APRIL 26TH

  • Design and build an update billboard encouraging users on older Firefox 4 beta builds to update to Aurora - P1 - [COMPLETE]
  • Add Rapid-Release channels to product-details library - P1
  • Need All.Html Page for Aurora -P1 - [COMPLETE]
  • Add All Systems & Languages text under Download Aurora button - P1 - [COMPLETE]
  • Cut out the extra white space between the download buttons and signing up for newsletters - P2 - [COMPLETE]
