Firefox Friends/Community Guidelines

From MozillaWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

You are invited to participate in the Firefox Friends program to tell others about Firefox and what Mozilla is doing. We trust that you'll respect others.

Nothing in these Community Guidelines is intended to limit or interfere with your right to engage in protected concerted activity.

Be friendly

As a Firefox Friend, you’re representing Mozilla, so be nice!

Make it your own

Personalize the messages you post. You don’t need to use the text template we provide. Have fun with it and put it in your own words. Be sure it reflects your own honest opinions.

Disclose your connection to Mozilla

When posting about Mozilla and Firefox, be sure to make your connection to Mozilla clear to your readers. This connection must be disclosed regardless of space limitations, and should be clear, conspicuous and prominent enough to be easily seen by others when they are reading your posts.

Tweets: Even though tweets are limited to 140 characters, you still have to disclose your connection to us. We recommend using the program’s FTC disclosure hashtag, #FirefoxFriends.

Don't advertise on the site

Firefox Friends is a place for social influencers to talk about Firefox and Mozilla. Don't advertise your own products or services.

Get support

If friends have technical questions, or are running into an issue with their browser, Mozilla Support (SUMO) is here to help!

Consequences

If we find out you’re breaking these guidelines, we may take down your posts (or ask you to take them down), prohibit you from making future posts, or terminate your relationship with Mozilla.

Be safe and be smart. Please read the Program Terms and Conditions more information.
