Notes from the last Executive Team weekly meeting

  • OKRs - Ashley has been working with Lotta, Anil and Juan to frame a comms-related KR for OKR 1: Healthy AI that will also help inform a few remaining KRs at the team level. We’re very close to finalizing all team OKRs and will update the dashboard soon to have it ready for July reporting.
  • September Strategy Retreat - Steph Ryan joined to discuss timing, location and purpose for the retreat (week of Sept 16th in/near San Francisco). This will be our next major milestone in 2020 planning. Specifically, we’ll further flesh out our Theory of Change to reflect our emphasis on healthy AI, and collectively map activities to short/mid/long-term outcomes. This should help set us up for more detailed team planning in Q4, and more intentionally linking our OKRs to the ToC. Directors are nominating folks from their teams to participate.
  • Fundraising update - Juan joined the call to discuss strategic fundraising recommendations for H2 and leading into 2020. Reviewed specific grant opportunities in the pipeline, as well as plans to tee up topical issues to focus cross-org marketing campaigns in 2020, based on the success and learnings from our pilot campaigns this year.
