Statista

In 2016 we’ve signed up for Statista with a entreprise account that allows all Mozilla paid staff to access the service (MoCo and MoFo). Although it will not be relevant for everyone, it will be highly relevant and useful for people working on new products/services, marketing, strategy and planning.

A few groups used it last year and found the service valuable, which is why (for a small increase in our contract) we decided to obtain access for all employees.

What is Statista?

Statista is the world's largest statistics portal. It is a great one-stop-shop for access to the latest industry data and forecasts across many different areas. It collects data from a multitude of sources and is typically very useful

  • to understand a space quickly,
  • to identify market trends and,
  • to help size market opportunities.

Obtaining Access

  • Go to https://www.statista.com/register/ and create an account with your @mozilla.com or @mozillafoundation.org email.
  • Once registered it will either automatically connect you or you can request to ‘connect’ your account to our enterprise subscription by visiting “My account” -> “Account Details” -> “Connect”.
  • To provide you with an SSO Link get in touch with Contact Statista Rep; Lodovica Biagi. With this link, there would be no need for a username and password. Unfortunately each user would need to individually ask for this SSO Link.
  • See also our ‘how to’ intro on vreplay

Troubleshooting

For more info see the How to register manual. (note: some of us received error messages when registering, but registration appears successful anyway - please validate if your account is connected on the profile page if you’re unsure). If you have further questions please email our Statista contact Lodovica Biagi

Getting Started

Statista is fairly intuitive and searchable, but contains a lot of information from many industries.

To learn more about the service, you can either watch their welcome video or you can watch our introductory video here ‘how to’ intro on vreplay

Questions or Contact
