Terminology output on the web
- Using TBX files, scrape translatable web content on a given web page, find 100% terminology matches using a TBX file, retrieve translation equivalent and inject as added parenthetical.
- It's probably easy to extract the text from the DOM; perhaps a little more difficult to determine what text should be translated.

- [Gordon] Contact mitcho about leveraging hyperlink constituencies for use in Intellego.
  - Status: E-mailed mitcho on Feb. 3; no response yet.
- [Gordon] Look into what it would take to translate snippets, including investigating existing open source machine translation engines and tying them into Pontoon.
  - Status: Deferred.
- [Jeff] Research what it would entail to translate only specific terminology.

- Status: First draft of prose done. May not be right flow yet. Still rough. Editing/feedback/suggestions welcome. Also, added mission statement, vision, motto, and values (to be discussed). Kensie added a version that is better targetted at technical people (Mekki's stuff is targetted at potential collaborators/investors who are less technical)

Google Summer of Code application due February 14!

[Mekki] Pull GSOC application and look it over for requirements. Compare to CREDIL previously successful application
- Status: Not necessary. Only Mozilla qualifies and they apply directly. We just need to get onto the list (see below).
[Jeff, Mekki] Reach out to CREDIL for a possible collaboration effort.
- Status: First meeting with CREDIL/CRTL successful. They're interested. They don't qualify for GSoC so focus for near future will be CIRA pitch.

Real-time translation of IRC chatroom contents (probably client side?) that shows the channel messages translated into language of choice, but you can hover/right click to see original language
- Great for million Mozillians contributor growth without having separate IRC channels based on language.

Realtime translation of crowdmap/croudsourcing reports for geotagging (see Ushahidi, etc. above)

OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice: New add on to spell/grammar check that does a rudimentary translate and then applies grammar check to help with context? Might be useful to look at open source grammar check projects such as those maintained by thse two.

Subtitling of videos (translating existing subtitles on the fly). Msaad knows more about subtitling tech
