Abstract: As the web evolves, the need for custom experiences increases in the browser space. In Firefox, developers can create Add-ons as a means to extend the browser experience. This presentation covers the life cycle of an add-on development, from its creation to the publishing process. Framework aspects are introduced featuring main concepts such as overlays, XUL, DOM, and CSS. In addition, FUEL (Firefox User Extension Library) is highlighted as a new API designed to help developers build extensions with familiar JavaScript interfaces.
