Minutes

High Priority Work

Native Jetpack Support

These are the only 2 bugs remaining.

JPM

AMO can release updates mid-august to support jpm. Will be the same time as SDK 1.17. We should make more noise about jpm. jpm will be supported in Firefox 34 onwards.

Devtools SDK

Irakli: has a jep for changes to devtools panel api, for firebug concerns, asking for feedback from honza. also working with Luca.

Object printer: Connor finished his internship last week. He's interested in still working on it. Needs tests. If there are hard deadlines, (i.e. Firefox 34) need to know so can we figure out Connor's availability, or if Jordan should take it over. We would love to have it in 34, yes. Jordan will coordinate this with Connor.

Button badges

Matteo: fixed review comments, testing on all platforms, setting up test env. Expect to submit a new patch in a day or 2. Have we dealt with the review issues? Yes, we think so.

Mochitestification

Mossop: mostly finished patch, getting feedback from build people about whether we should use marionette, which doesn't work so well for us. Tests are mostly passing.

SDK 1.17

Done but waiting for validator update on AMO mid-August. AMO only pushes once a month.

SDK

  • bug 1047896 Jetpack tests not running at all: releng disabled something our tests need. Should get fixed by the change being reverted.
  • e10s updates (zombie)
    • tracking down some annoying deinitialization issues (throwing with tests passing). Clean up in a few days and ask for reviews.

Roundtable

  • new contributors shoutout (to be released as part of firefox 34): XrXr (first patch) improved Fx binary finding in jpm on windows. \o/ find another patch for him to work on :).
  • Gulp extension - Too easy! just copied code into data folder. no system-specific calls, just websockets.
