From MozillaWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Translation testing is the initial testing of the locale based on context, grammar, format, and positioning. This is normally done soon after the translation of the en-US strings to the locale specific strings. it is normally done by the localizer or someone that works closely with them. It's like proof reading the first draft of a document.

Levels of translation testing:

  1. No testing
  2. Testing the menus and primary dialogues (preferences, bookmark Library, etc)
  3. Add testing all normal dialogues and Help
  4. Add testing of all error, download, migration, and debugging (error console) dialogues
