L10n:Test Strategy:Litmus Test Cases:Developing

To improve the quality of each locale, it is useful to develop locale specific test cases. This might include tests for certain translations or locales that are more complex or that might have more sensitivity to context or dialogue layout.

Levels of Litmus Development:

  1. No litmus development - use only the existing L10n smoke tests
  2. Develop some test cases for a few most common issues with locale translations or formatting
  3. Develop a moderate amount of test cases for special issues like RTL or more complicated scripts.
  4. Develop tests for all dialogues

Comments:

  1. Hard to develop fully-automated tests for locales.
