Status updates

roadmap + schedule

  • Templates into staging site with content for a test project (Ubiquity, most likely) + make sure everything works (Ryan: July 13-15)
  • Complete adding content (Deb + whoever: July 15-17)
  • QA/testing (Deb + labs team: July 20-24)
  • Migration strategy (Ryan + IT: July 20-24)
  • Final testing, fiddly bits + details (Everyone: July 20-24)
  • Launch strategy w/ Beard (Deb: ASAP)
  • Launch strategy w/ IT (Ryan: will start investigating)
  • LAUNCH ETA: end of July (July 30 since 31 is a Friday)

notes from meeting

Neil:

  • Working on outstanding design issues, posted a wiki list of those.
  • Sean just needs to get some stuff done.
  • Got a dump of the current Labs wordpress DB and tested import -- all worked OK.

Ryan:

  • Working on templates and plugins. Has a strategy for this.
  • RSS stuff is straightforward.
  • Making as much of the content editable via the web UI (which is awesome), and using raw Text field widgets for a bunch of stuff.
  • Should have a final list of what's needed by the end of the day, and push some new code to stage today.
  • Will email Zandr today to see if the migration strategy looks good.

Deb:

  • Still working on getting more content from Labs guys, but will get outstanding stuff together when it's time to put content into stage site.
  • Have a meeting scheduled with Beard on July 28 to review site and sort out launch strategy, so hopefully we'll have everything pretty much set up for then. There may be some change requests.

Flags/Blockers:

  • Sean needs time to do designs, which may cause some delay

Other

  • Rescheduling meeting to be an hour later + to add Raymond (QA Intern)
  • Deb will file bugs on all outstanding roadmap items so we can track stuff better.
