If you are part of the Labs site revamp team, please feel free to add/modify any of these pages. If you have questions or comments, send them to deb@mozilla.com.

Short-term

  • Send existing docs to webdev team members, and ask them for review, guidance, and ideas. Need to know if the docs are sufficient for their needs and, if not, what else is required. DONE
  • Get feedback from Webdev team about docs and what else they need.
  • Remind Labs guys to review + modify as necessary. Set a hard deadline on this of Feb 13.
  • Write up detailed description of first component to be completed - replacement of existing site (project pages, main page, project aggregation - not forums).
  • Meet with core team (Pascal, Morgamic, Neil, Ryan, Deb) on Feb 19.
  • Deb meets with Neil and Sean Feb 19 or 20 in Toronto to hash out some design and front-end development ideas, needs, etc. Initial component to be worked on will be the replacement of the existing site. Other components later.
  • Pascal works out Concept Series module details so Elgg guys can hack a prototype component. Should be useful for other developers to prototype alternate systems if possible. (OR so webdev can get a better grasp on what we're trying to build.)

Mid-term

  • Deb sorts out wireframing the envisioned system + gets that reviewed by all and sundry.
  • Atul gets an Elgg instance set up on a VM so we can experiment with it (once the VM issues are sorted). DONE
  • Atul (or someone) gets a Deki instance set up on a VM so we can experiment with it (see above re: VM issues).
  • Talk to Atul about ID aggregation system -- Facebook connect, Google connect, OpenID, Mozilla accounts...etc.
  • [STARTED] Think hard about the forums issue -- are Elgg group forums sufficient? What other forum software could we use? Experiment with other forum systems if others are considered viable.

Long-term
