Prior to February, 2013, the MDN development team worked in two week development periods called Sprints.

Before each Sprint started, the team decided on a number of features to build based on ideas and priorities provided of MDN users. After the team decided on what features to build, it broke those features down into smaller tasks. The team worked on these tasks until all of the features are completed at the end of the Sprint.

After the end of each Sprint, the team met again to start the process from the top, keeping new feedback and new priorities in mind.

What will we work on next?

The team maintains a running list of ideas and priorities in a document called the Product Backlog. When the current Sprint ends, the team will meet again to evaluate the Product Backlog and use it to decide on a new set of features to build.
