Notes - 7/17/2012, 8:00am Pacific:

1) Update on getUserMedia work (Anant, Suhas)

  • Anant will make a patch to make media.navigator.enabled visible (bug 774667)
  • Randell wil make a patch to turn off building WebRTC and mozGetUserMedia in Aurora. He'll ask Ted for a review when it's ready (bug 773970)
  • Other than the above, getUserMedia work is in debug mode

2) Update on Media Management (EKR, Suhas, Enda)

  • Patch from crypt soon.
  • Change tests to stop using files.
  • Much discussion of how to translate Streams and tracklists into SDP and how to reassociate them at the other side
  • Randell will check discussions and see if consensus wasn't captured
    • believes ssrc values signalled in SDP was the proposed method
  • Discuss at IETF if not before
  • SIPCC currently only supports 1 audio + 1 video - will be fixed
    • Good enough for initial implementation
  • For now good enough to produce multiple streams, or a single audio+video stream

3) Update on signaling work (Enda, Ethan, Suhas, Randell)

  • Enda has a new patch with SIPCC bug fixes and cleanup and wants to push it.
  • The updates on Media Management and Signaling were largely given together (as one big update)

4) Update on testing plans

  • (jsmith) Working actively on a test plan here for getUserMedia - https://etherpad.mozilla.org/camera-api-testing - Feel free to drop ideas in here (very very early stages of a test plan in here)
  • (jsmith) Should be a couple bugs on file, I'll start digging more

5) DOM Integration (Anant)

  • Anant, EKR, and Randell will start reaching out to PeterV this week. Maire hopes he'll be available to join this call next week.

6) Discuss any current blockers for people or new items that haven't been discussed

  • Randell, Maire, ekr, Tim will be at IETF. Fluffy and Ethan will also attend. Anant is a maybe.
  • Ethan and Suhas will be at OSCON (?) for the next few days

7) Any questions/concerns about the spec work or discussions on the list?

  • None mentioned
