Notes:

1) Where are we on spec compliance (highlighting any blockers)

  • Need Anant to revise the JS API to match the current spec.
  • Need to do RTCP-mux but it's lower on the agenda. Same with bundle.
  • Need to wire up configurable STUN servers. [ekr]

a) JSEP [emannion, ehugg]

  • Enda and Ethan were out last week.
  • Enda Planning to start DataChannel SDP work this week.
-- Reviews - largely jesup and ekr; some Roc. Overall import may be roc and anyone else he thinks makes sense.
-- Cullen will try to get someone at Cisco to look at it who knows SIPCC

b) Media Transport [ekr, anant]

  • Receive trickle ICE was working in test harness
-- Wired up and appears to work

c) Media [derf, jesup]

  • Latency issues were raised as the biggest problem for media
-- Randell filed bug 788185 av sync issues and bug 788183 for latency issues
-- Hope to have unit tests and even talos tests for latency/sync

d) DOM [jesup, anant]

  • PeterV was starting work on live array support
    -- jesup will ping PeterV
  • Anant was going to add a good description to Bug 786158 (Description attributes)?
    -- not yet done
  • Randell was going to submit the proposal for the data channels DOM to the working group?
    -- Done, some good feedback
    -- Updated usrsctp library

e) Identity [ekr, anant]

  • Lower priority than JSEP or recieve trickle ICE -- Will skip this section unless there's something new to report
    -- skipped

2) Interop with Chrome status

a) EKR was planning to go to Seattle on Wed to work with Justin face-to-face on Interop.

b) Opus was under review by Tina (at Google)

  • some additional work for us to do, derf is working things through with Tina, et al

c) Randell had rollup patches for DataChannels on bugs 729511, 729512, and 733002

  • Talked to Justin about infallible-malloc; no other work so far

3) Landing plan was almost ready to be published.

  • Will publish today

4) W3C poll is being taken on whether to continue with PeerConnection. We will continue no matter what. Thoughts or concerns?

  • Plan to land what we have with the current spec.
  • Currently running about 3:1 in favor of continuing

5) WebRTC/gUM bug triage is happening Wed at 11am Pacific starting this week. That is a new standing meeting for WebRTC. You don't have to attend. But if you want to attend and can't attend at that time, please suggest an alternative time.

  • ekr will try to join via public vidyo
  • Maire volunteered to make sure all the dependencies in bugzilla are recorded and correct.
-- In progress. Will finish this week.

6) State of the tree

  • Ted, EKR, and Jesup have been trying to get the tree greenish, at least as far as unit tests go.
    -- Much more green
    -- Shutdown issues
-- WinXP is waiting on usrsctp fix - jesup may patch it for them

7) Discuss any current blockers for people or new items that haven't been discussed

  • (jsmith) Not much traction on gUM bugs for FF 18 - how are we balancing focus on those bugs vs. full stack of WebRTC? Are we on track, at risk, etc?
  • Could use a JS hacker to unload Anant (and write tests)
