Notes:

1) Where are we on spec compliance (highlighting any blockers)

a) JSEP [emannion, ehugg]

  • DataChannel SDP work: initial version done. Randell needs to use it. We might need more fmtp params depending on WG
  • Cullen is trying to get someone at Cisco who knows SIPCC to review some of the code. Cullen has been given a name, no action yet (Ethan & Cullen to follow up)

b) Media Transport [ekr, anant]

  • Receive trickle ICE appeared to work last week and still works. EKR is looking to get this in to moz-central and reviewed by end of next week.

c) Media [derf, jesup]

  • Randell hoped to have unit tests and maybe even talos tests for latency/sync -nothing yet, working on security and Tranche 3 reviews. Hopefully next week.

d) DOM [jesup, anant]

  • Randell will ping PeterV for status on live array support
  • Anant added a good description to Bug 786158 (Description attributes)?
  • Code for data channel on moz-central for review; overall looking good, hope to have final reviews by end of the week

e) Identity [ekr, anant]

  • Skipped last week -- more important stuff in other sections
  • Skipped again. Not much remains, and it's less important than other work

2) Interop with Chrome status

a)EKR met with Justin face-to-face on Interop.

  • Lots of discussion about where Google is and when they'll be done
  • M23 going out RSN, not likely to have Opus in it or trickle ice, etc
  • M24 a more likely interop target -- Will discuss with Google tomorrow (9/12) during their office hours

b) Tim chatted with Google about Opus

  • Things looking very good. Reviews not as tough as thought. Remaining issue is finalizing license

c) Randell will look at sharing data channel code with Justin/Chrome when they are ready

  • Need to talk with Justin about when this can happen -> part of bigger conversation

3) Landing plan was going to be published

  • Done. No comments so far.
  • It's looking more and more likely that Firefox 18 will go out behind a pref. Partly because we likely won't have interop with Chrome yet and partly because of security and stability concerns. We will be making this decision as we get closer to uplift (which is Oct 7/8).

4) W3C poll is over. Option 1 (Continuing with PeerConnection) was selected.

  • There's still formal declaration to be done by chairs.

5) WebRTC/gUM bug triage is happening Wed at 11am Pacific

  • Bug 752352 has become hot (Dao and Dolske are almost blocked). Maire is looking to find a JS hacker to offload Anant. Still looking, have engaged with managers who might be able to help.

6) State of the tree

  • There were shutdown issues and WinXP was waiting on usrsctp fix (jesup was going to try to find time to patch it for them)
  • UPDATE: Expect usrsctp fix soon

7) Discuss any current blockers for people or new items that haven't been discussed

  • None mentioned
