Notes:
1) Crash bugs & Sec-Critical bugs, Major Functionality Bugs: where are we?
- (jsmith) Crash bugs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?keywords=crash%2C%20;keywords_type=allwords;list_id=4686619;resolution=---;query_format=advanced;component=WebRTC;component=WebRTC%3A%20Audio%2FVideo;component=WebRTC%3A%20Networking;component=WebRTC%3A%20Signaling;product=Core
- (jsmith) Sec-Critical Bugs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?keywords=sec-critical%2C%20;keywords_type=allwords;list_id=4686623;resolution=---;query_format=advanced;component=WebRTC;component=WebRTC%3A%20Audio%2FVideo;component=WebRTC%3A%20Networking;component=WebRTC%3A%20Signaling;product=Core
- (jsmith) I'd like do a stack hunt through crash-stats soon for any crashes caught, but don't have bugs on file. Can everyone give me ideas of common terms to search for (e.g. function names, classes)? Examples:PeerConnection, addStream, getUserMedia, MediaManager, AudioSendAndReceive
- Drop your ideas in this etherpad: https://etherpad.mozilla.org/webrtc-crashstats
- Bug 803875 should be pushed soon. Bug affects ff19, not 18.
2) gUM
- Functionality:
- UX design (Latest design is in Bug 729522)
- Meeting last Thursday went pretty well. Three big action items:
- a) Adding a "Never share with this site" option to the choices offered to users -> if we do this, we'll need to have a way for the user to undo this.
- b) Adding an easy way within Firefox to shut down camera/microphone access after access has been granted
- c) Adding a "glow" or color change to the tab when the page in the tab has access to camera/microphone data
- Meeting last Thursday went pretty well. Three big action items:
3) Other bugs people are working
- Nothing mentioned
4) Interop with Chrome & What do we need from Google (this week)?
- Any updates?
- constraints?
- One-way audio/video? Do we support this?
- likely they'll want to do interop in M25, not uplift to M24
- What do we want to discuss tomorrow with Google?
- Where are they on the DTLS patches?
- Opus?
4b) Planning for TPAC & IETF
- Identity needs to be on the agenda for TPAC
- Error handling - anant preparing
- Can people debug their applications?
5) Testing
- Where do we stand on infrastructure?
- Automation-wise, there's 3 crashtests, one exception gUM test checked in
- Still need feedback on gUM automation in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781534
- Use the in-testsuite? flag to indicate that the bug needs an automated test
- The peer connection leak bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=798323) - still need to get fixed to get crash test automation running
- Bug Triage Meeting: Wednesday at 11am (regular time)
6) Security review preparation
- Randell hasn't heard much yet from dveditz or Curtis yet
7) Discuss any current blockers for people or new items that haven't been discussed
- None mentioned
