Agenda/Notes:
1) Issues for discussion:
- Google STUN/FF incompatibility (upgrade to rfc5389 stun): https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=888274 - what's the work around? what should we tell developers? when are we likely to have a fix?
- Work around is "Don't use Google STUN servers". Google STUN server is not compliant. Ekr will create a fix before going to IETF.
- audio latency next steps:
- When (what priority) should upping the sampling rate from 16000 to 32000 be? (see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Media/WebRTC_Audio_Issues )
- We agreed to defer this to later.
- When (what priority) should upping the sampling rate from 16000 to 32000 be? (see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Media/WebRTC_Audio_Issues )
- What steps will be needed for supporting renegotiation?
- There is basic framework of previous sdp and its verification.(crypt)
- 896429 and 896439 - anyone looking in to these yet - createOffer and setRemote failures in talkilla.
- ehugg will investigate
- B2G updates
- Proceeding reasonably well, e10s will be ready soon
- Bug 896235 -- video freezing
- Need a fix within the next week
2) Spec status - Topics being discussed in Berlin that affect WebRTC:
- Unified Plan
- SDES
- DataChannels
- Trickle ICE in mmusic?
- Anything else?
- Anything on the mailing lists people want to discuss or ask questions about?
- Nothing mentioned
3) Testing & Mochitests
- New req for WebRTC testing under Marc S
- Adam Cain started as a part-time contractor (working on build infrastructure)
4) Discuss any current problems for people or issues that haven't been discussed -- or Any heads up for the group
- Nothing mentioned
<Read only section> Notices:
- We now have 2 open reqs for WebRTC developers -- the positions require significant networking expertise, Android experience is a plus. If you know of anyone who may be qualified and interested, please talk with Maire. We're interviewing a candidate tomorrow (Wednesday).
References: Proposal to target for Fx 25/26/27:
- Clean up of higher priority non-blockers bugs
- Persona integration (EKR)
- Improved audio latency (jesup, padenot)
- Better AEC (jesup)
- Video framerate/resolution adaptation
- performance improvements, especially on mobile
